Ray Romulus is an American songwriter, musician, and record producer. He was born on September 4, 1982 in Puerto Rico and raised in Miami, Florida. Romulus is best known as one of the members of the production duo, The Stereotypes, along with Jeremy Reeves and Jonathan Yip. The Stereotypes are known for producing hit songs for artists like Bruno Mars, Far East Movement, Justin Bieber, and Fifth Harmony.
Romulus started his music career as a member of the R&B group, Quadron. He later formed The Stereotypes in 2003 and signed to Interscope Records in 2007. Since then, the duo has produced several chart-topping hits and earned multiple Grammy nominations. In 2018, Romulus won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for co-writing Bruno Mars' hit song "That's What I Like."
Apart from music, Romulus is a philanthropist and actively works with several organizations like the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. He also serves as a board member of the Recording Academy's Los Angeles chapter.
